A Rainbow of Fun

As a child, one of the reasons I loved to draw and paint was the chance to use all the pretty colors.  Kids love coloring and creating a rainbow filled world.  It gives them the chance to view the world as they would like to see it and spurs their imaginations.  At Learning Is Fun Store, we have creative activies appropriate for children of all ages and learning levels.

For the younger set, ages three to six, nothing beats Sesame Street Art Workshop.  It does more than just allow them to color to their hearts content.  This wonderful program also helps kids learn letters, numbers, colors and shapes.  Children also learn about picture composition and become familiar with computers.  Elmo and the Sesame Street gang are there to help and guide your child and oversized navigation buttons make it easy for kids to use.

No mess, bother or dried out dough with Play-Doh Creations.  Kids can make a variety of colorful and wacky creations and then save, share or destroy them at will.  Children will learn early design skills and color theory as they add more and more fun items to their creatures.  Colors can be changed as often as kids like, including neon colors and sparkles for hours of fun.

A favorite program of many teachers, parents and children is Kid Pix Deluxe.  Children get to experiment with a variety of mediums including watercolor, paint, markers, pencil, chalk, etc.  There are a multitude of special effects that will help get their creative juices flowing such as the ability to animate, smudge, smear, warp, or twist their designs.  Kids can also import pictures into the program and then have fun customizing them.
