First Grade Fun

School is almost back in session if it hasn't already started in your part of the country.  It is an exciting time of the year for youngsters making the transition from kindergarten to first grade.  There is so much that children have to know by this milestone.  It is important for them to establish a firm foothold on the basics for success in the years to come.  You can help develop a lifelong love of learning by providing them with fun ways to exercise their brains and assist them in this process.  At Learning Is Fun Store, we've got the software that will help you do just that.

Packed with a wealth of learning fun, Arthur's 1st Grade Learning System has a full year's worth of curriculum and activities.  Included are two CD's that will help teach spelling, vocabulary, reading comprehension, measurement, nature & wildlife, matching & sorting, deductive reasoning, problem solving, listening & following directions, logic and social skills.  Also included is an Arthur DVD about growing up and a Reader Rabbit Activity Workbook to help further reading and comprehension.

If your child loves the Toy Story movies, their new best friend will be Disney Pixar Learning 1st Grade.  Buzz Lightyear and friends turn Andy's bedroom into an interactive first grade classroom. Children can create, discover and explore while learning spelling, word recognition, vocabulary, money, fractions, world geography, telling time, and so much more. There are loads of activities that will keep them engaged and learning.

Loaded with puzzles and games to reward lessons well learned, School Zone First Grade has two discs that help promote self-paced independent learning.  A unique system helps keep kids on track, green arrows mean they are doing good and can keep moving forward, red arrows mean they need to stay and practice lessons longer.  Easy-to-follow instructions help them gain understanding about nouns, verbs, adjectives and more while grasping difficult concepts about time, money & fractions.
